Bruce Rubenstein M.D.
Bruce Rubenstein M.D. has been a board certified psychiatrist for over 25 years. He is board-certified with the National Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Education
Received his B. A. at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed post-baccalaureate studies at Colombia University. Attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine and graduated with a degree conferred with honors. Completed his internship at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at New York University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident.
He has worked as a senior attending physician in diverse practice settings including psychiatric inpatient care, consultation liaison with other medical departments such as medicine, surgery and obstetrics/gynecology, crisis/emergency psychiatry, and outpatient centers. He has had extensive experience in telemedicine and novel integrations of psychiatric care with primary care centers, hospitalized patients and psychotherapy clinics. He has also had over five years of experience in telemedicine. At the beginning of his career, he was director of outpatient behavioral health services at New York University Medical Center.
Throughout most of his career he has maintained a private practice. In that setting, he is provided talk psychotherapy, medication treatment and a combination of the two. He has worked in various geographical locations including New York, New Jersey, Florida and Maryland. He holds medical licenses in all of these states in addition to Idaho.
